Few fields in the late 20th century changed and developed faster than Professional Video production, editing, storage, and transmission technologies. That rate of growth has accellerated even more in this first decade of the new millennium. Where just a few years ago High Definition was simply unaffordable, suddenly it is becoming the standard.
Pro Video covers too large an area for one web site to do it all justice. Here we concentrate on the middle to the lower end. Most of the shooting and editing solutions we discuss start at the high end of consumer affordability and stop well under $50,000; tools for independent videographers, low budget indie filmmakers, and smaller production houses.
